i understand your theory, but the car isnt launching str8 up, it's launching forward with the front weight transferring to the rear

and when it raises it is planting the rear tires.... not yanking them up

im no physics major, but i have some background in engineering and the effects of changes in geometry. and what you describe is very incorrect, or i am very ignorant to understand

southsides and hpms are no way comparable. i had southsides on my '89 and they were very brutal. hpm's are hands down the very best set of lca's i have ever seen used.

the large, record setting companies see it differently. Mt times also got better once I got away from the lift bars.

I went from averaging 1.7's to right around 1.55 just from the switch back. My friend got into the 1.5 to high 1.4's in his. He had more power than me.

There's so many setups out there I know some will back up lift style bars and others will agree with what I am saying. My personal experience with lift style arms though leads me to not recommend them.
