Think of yourself crouched down with your knees bent, then push up until your legs are straight again (no more travel), what happens to the weight on your feet at the top? Your upward momentum takes some weight off your feet for a second. That's what was happening to our tires with lift style arms.
i understand your theory, but the car isnt launching str8 up, it's launching forward with the front weight transferring to the rear
and when it raises it is planting the rear tires.... not yanking them up
im no physics major, but i have some background in engineering and the effects of changes in geometry. and what you describe is very incorrect, or i am very ignorant to understand
southsides and hpms are no way comparable. i had southsides on my '89 and they were very brutal. hpm's are hands down the very best set of lca's i have ever seen used.

There's so many setups out there I know some will back up lift style bars and others will agree with what I am saying. My personal experience with lift style arms though leads me to not recommend them.
