trying to get some more juice out of the 5.0

^^^ agree! i mean you already have a fuel pump to handle a small kit. Just pull a little timing, through the kit on and have fun!
you can get a sneaky pete (i beleive it is called) for a couple hundred but its a dry kit and will only give you something like 30hp, not to mentionu gotta fill that bottle every other spray due to how small it is

Nitrous is way way to go for max hp for a low investment. If you do go that route, install a timing retard. If you set your timing at 10 degrees for the spray, the car will slow down almost 2 tenths on your non nitrous run. That means when on the spray, you have to make up the 2 tenths. With the timing retard, you can run 14 degress and when you hit the spray, the timing will drop down to 10 degrees. This way, you can launch at max timing, hit the spray and the car will run its best. For every 100 hp shot, the timing should be retarded 3 degrees. Also, try and use a wet kit.

When i was running nitrous on my LSC, i had the timing control wired right to the nitrous solenoid. I would have my timing set at 14 degrees and a 3 degree chip in the retard control. I would launch the car off the footbrake and hit the nitrous button top of 1st gear. The timing would automatically retard. I don't want to start a debate over throttle micro switches and a regular momentary hand held button. I like the latter since i feel i have more control over the spray. Sometimes, especially when cold out the car would blaze the tires. With the button,i would back off the throttle and the spray. Once the car hooked, i would hit the button again. But like i said, personal experience with my particular set-up. Everybody is different.
