Ok so as my tag line says I'm a SSP wannabe(which I asked for). I have a strong need to have my LX look as close to a Texas DPS SSP as possible. Well after calling DPS and talking to a DPS Trooper. I have found out it's not illegal to have my paint job just like the old DPS SSP mustangs, but if I did look like one a Trooper might give me a citation for impersonating Law Enforcement. So I asked what about all black to which the reply was "we also have all black cars too". I told him current all black cars are the Tahoe, Crown Vic and Dodge Charger. After much consideration,thought and opinions from people so far, minus MF patrons. I am waiting till 2012 tax return and getting the hood, roof and trunk lid painted white or cream as it says on a SSP build sheet, with the rest of the car black. I did a little bit of craigslist trades and got six 10 hole rims for my curb rash cobra rims. I plan on getting the rims black before the paint job. So enough BS here are some current pics, also I know the rear tires are huge *** 275 60. They are getting replaced in a few days. I will more than likely catch hell for this, but hey you only live once so F it.

The cobra rims were replicas and had bad curb rash plus when I turned my wheel full lock right or left they rubbed, so I am glad to have gotten 6 rims for 4. just trying to get to my goal and getting the 10 holes was one step.

Nope hence the tag SSP wannabe, lol. I just have a big appreciation for SSP car especially the Texas DPS SSP.
