Ok, so I plan to get the trick flow top end kit (black powdercoated) and measure the pushrods.

But if I SUB in the stage 2 cam, the pushrod length will NOT be affected at all? So it will be a direct substitution? And I will still check POV clearence, but It should work?

And 70-75mm throttle body would be the best? With PMAS mass air for 24lb injectors? What's the best mass air flow?

thanks!!!

Check PVC to be sure!!! But honestly, if you go with the TFS heads and the Stg-2 cam, get the heads with the upgraded springs-up to .600 lift. I called Trickflow specifically to get the spring rates of the stock TW heads. The tech told me they were good "reliably" for .540 lift with 110lb on the seat. The TFS-2 eclipses this. Plus there are better cams than the TFS-2. The Comp XE270HR comes to mind. And it will work fine with stock pistons.

As for MAF, I like the Summit Brand MAF's. I've had two from them and they are nicely priced.

Oh and PMAS is no longer in busniness

On summitracing.com, under the trick flow top end kit, under kit/combo contents, i clicked the heads, and it says max valve lift is .600. does that mean it already comes with the good springs?

any more advice on swapping in the stage 2 cam? What good is this going to do?

It will increase the power n torque u will get over the stage 1. But as stated above there are better cams but ur budget wont allow for it! For a stock cuin the stage ! Is fine they sound pretty good for such a small cam!

So Trick flow top end kit with stage 2 cam sub'ed in (total is about 2700), bbk or trick flow 75mm throttle body is about 150. thats 2850.

I would get the injectors mass air long tubes and fuel pump later on when I get some more money. Is this a wise use of 2850?

and stage 2 cam will work right? Not gonna be a waste of time?

Either cam will work cu in is cubic inch!
When u call summit depends on who is on the phone! If there just parts people most of the time they will read off the pc screen. Some of them actually know the parts and function, n can answer some questions!
