302 HO questions
 
ok im new here and i bought a 65 mustang coupe im currently in college and in my class im rebuilding engines and would like something for my mustang.. my teacher has informed me that the 302 high output setup would be a great choice for me so ive been looking around for one to rebuild but i have no idea how to tell if its high output?? what cars had the 302 in them and what cars had the 302 HO in them?? im in real need of some advice here i need to have one by the end of the week so i have time in class to finish it!!

87-92 mustangs are the best pick for an h.o engine as well as the mark vii 's had h.o's and some other models iirc did to but heck, h.o motors are a dime a dozen, = all over ebay and some on craigs list too

Why not go with a 289 V8 keep it close to orginial? Probably cheaper and easier.

huh???? there really is no difference block wise except for the fact early 289/302 blocks have a thicker main webbing... bore is the same

well i just decided on it cause i couldnt find a 302 and i found a 351w out of a 92 ford van with 90,000 miles on it for $150

BAmustang that hangs around ROTM is doing a 302 swap on his classic.
