Default about to buy

I found a more than likely beat to hell 87 5.0 ttop, that im gonna attempt to get. 107k miles. posted for 2500 but im sure i can wager him down.what you guys think about the price? anything i should make sure to look at before i buy? it will be a project car and i will still have my sixxer as daily driver.i know next to nothing about the foxes so just about anything you can tell me is good. if someone could point me to some good info on speed density stuff as i have no clue how it works that'd be great also.

and of course, the crappy pics.

I have not seen a black car look look faded like that. If it did spend its life in the sun, it would fade in the more direct sunlight places like the hood or top. That low of a mileage on a car that looks like that leads me to believe that is was totaled at some time in its life.

Would picking up a totaled car be bad even if I was totally restoring it?

offer them $1800. It really looks beat or just a really bad paint job. Like he said above probably wrecked at some point. Good parts car though

If it has a salvage notation on the title it makes it really hard to resale. If it does you could really use that to work the seller down on price.

How can you guys tell the paint is bad? The pictures are horrible.

$2500 way to much ......lol take the car for a ride see how it drives, push it to the floor see if the car shakes or if the engine is misfiring ? Look underneath see what the floor panels look like check to see if the doors and hatch all close smooth or draging? See if it's leaking oil any where or smoking also check the title to see if its an R' title for reconstructed car? After all this if you still like it make him an offer but judging those pictures yikes!

check it out in person and see how she drives.
If she runs good and everything seems normal, 2500 (or lower) is not bad for a t-top fox.
