Looking to go ahead with my gear purchase this week and came up with another question

My speedo is off by 10 mph. When it says I'm moving 60 I'm actually doing 50mph. The last owner replaced the gauge cluster and now the speedo is off. He said the last cluster went bad so he put in another one from a different GT.

If that were the case, wouldn't the speedo still be the same since it came off the same type of car?

Anyhow my question is, since the speedo is 10mph faster and the 410 gears cause the speedo to read roughly 10mph faster does this mean my gauge will now read 20mph faster or will this cause my gauge to actually be more accurate?

you'll just have to do the change then drive it...changing the drive gear will be no more difficult after gear swap then it will be now

410 gears and rebuild kit is on the way from American Muscle. I'll be doing this as soon as they arrive. I'll do it along with the throw out bearing.

I got a couple busy weeks coming up at work so I may just do a little every morning after work and stretch it out over a week, unless things go well then I can probably have it done in 2-3 days if I work at it for a couple hours every morning.

Will update once its done. Can't wait...all giddy just thinking about it
