what car is it going in ?

on a sn95 i'd say he'll run 13.20's
on a fox notch 12.90's

oh wait... 3.55 gears ?

add a 1/2 second to both times

Im Currently in the Market to Buy a new intake for my 347. I currently have the gt40 ported largely, but i found a good deal on a victor intake that is ported to match afr205's. is it worth it to buy the intake? or would it not really make much difference? i do plan on buying a set of 205's as well in the next month or two. if anyone has a good deal on a pair of em, please let me know as well...

Yes, you SHOULD buy that intake.

A ported GT40 is great for a 302.... not so much for a 347.

If you want to know what the engine will perform like... Go try to drink water through a coffee stirrer.

I wouldn't even think about putting a e-303 in it............if emissions are a deal for you, try to have a custom one designed that'll give you all you can and still pass the sniffer, or if you have to provied the C.A.R.B number for such mod then I guess your stuck with an ots cam such as the e-303 ....

As long as they don't know there is a bigger cam there shouldn't be a problem. I have a Comp XFI268 in my Formula, and people with the same cam in California have no problems smogging theirs.

I would aim for the AFR 185's... And start matching parts from there. There is no point in having AWESOME 205 heads, when you are either running a weak intake, or running a small cam. Figure out the Cam and Heads and from there go for the intake.

Maybe even look at the trickflow topend kit that many people use. Although, I don't know if it would still choke out a 347.

170cc heads... small cam... small intake. Not a good plan!

Like MJR suggested, get with a good custom cam grinder, and tell them what you are working with. Also, if the sniffer is what you fear... Consider that a GOOD tuner can make your car able to pass emissions.

My responce to the E-303 cam...
E-303 = .498"/.498" lift with 1.6 rockers, and 224°/224° duration @ 0.050" lift.
Compared to my "mild" HR custom grind...
My CI Grind = .579"/.579" lift with 1.6 rockers, and 232°/245° @ 0.050" lift

Like I said, my cam is "mild"!

So you have an XFI with a few less degrees of duration? What did that cost? CCA-35-775-8

OP they arent going to teardown your engine and check the cam, just use the one you want and present a ecam card if they ask!
I have a buddy that used a set of 170 tfs heads and trackheat intake and a comp blower cam with a v-1 vortech on his 347 and its far from a turd. but that isnt a set of gt40 heads either!

I`m using the Vic jr efi intake and vic jr heads and i like it alot! its a 347.
