Default What kind of 5-spd do I have?

Hello,

I am looking to replace the factory shifter in my 95 Cobra with a Hurst. When I look around on Hurst's website, they mention needing to know specifically what kind of 5-speed I have. How can I tell specifically which kind I have? Thanks in advance.

Erik

PS - In case anyone is curious why Hurst, it's purely for sentimental reasons. My parents had a 68 Firebird 350 3-spd with a Hurst shifter. I still have the original t-bar handle and need a shifter to mount it to.

it's a borg-warner / tremec t5

t5 is all you need to tell them

assuming no one swapped it... but the shifter bolt pattern is a dead givaway

you can use any shifter made for a T5 or T45.

needing to know what kind you have is for 01 GT's midway through the year they went from the T45 (garbage) to the 3650 (slightly less crappy).

thats all

hurst short throw shifters are garbage. I'll sell you my B&M, which is basically brand new, for $65 shipped.

You will be much happier with it.

if i had a top-loader or something else id be Hurst all the way.

for a T5 they're just not for me or a lot of people.

Pro 5.0, and B&M both make good shifters, and if you want to get the absolute best, order an MGW <3
