Whats an affordable Supercharger setup?
. I have a bone stock 5.0 mustang. I will do gears, with most likely ported Aluminum GT40 heads, Ported Explorer intake, with supercharger with supporting mods. What is an affordable setup used, and what times would they net?
What setups are everyone running?

used kits.....depends on the model, vortechs 5-6 psi kit new runs 1900.00 .......when you jump up to the 8-10 psi kit 3k pluss you'll need a supporting fuel management system ...used the kits run 60-70 % of that...s/c in good shape hold their value

For used setup I would defiantly go with a vortech s-trim. I put together my kit for around 2 grand, thats with upgraded pulleys, injectors, power pipe, maf and so on, Everything but a tune.
I also live in Canada and drive an sn95 both of which make things expensive.
If you look in the "pipe, boost, and juice" section of this forum there is a how to sticky for putting together a used vortech kit.

I pieced together my kit for the grand total of $2,170.00. This included, intercooler, injectors, head unit and all supporting parts. I did this while deployed to Afghnastain. So if I did it there you can most def do it. Takes three things: Patience, Time and most importantly, money on hand. Good luck!
