Thats what I'm saying. He's pulling his 351 windsor ( bored .030 over) out of his 86 and stroking it to a 418 w/ all forged internals.Putting it in a 70 fast back. He's buying AFR or something.

Nuthing bought the car been building it since. Paid 800 for the car with out an engine did all the body work and paint. Bought a 86 crown vic for 200. pulled engine took it to machine shop. Built the 331 w/ pro comp heads. Never got to drive it. Went to work down in New Mexico and car blew a freeze plug out during the winter in Okla. Had water in my oil. So pulled it out took it to the machine shop and had him test it and clean it back up for me. For free. Also had an extra block bored for a $100. Got rid of the pro comp another 5.0 out of an explorer and cast iron gt40 heads with comp 987 springs

Sounds like you have some patience, use some of that to save for some real good heads.
Meanwhile, GT40's are better than no heads.......

If it were me, I would seriously consider selling them just because of how high those things have got. Used to, less than a grand would buy a set. Now, well...see for yourself what just one head cost. http://www.jegs.com/i/Ford+Racing/39...-X303/10002/-1
