dont have to do hood pins, you could do something like a zuse fastiner... im doing something similar but using a smaller more conservitive one that my dad uses to hold the cowel on his airplane.... figure if it holds a cowel on the airplane at 200+..... it SHOULD be fine on my car

looking up the zeus fastener's most of them appear as if you would have to install some sort of plate on the hood for the fastener to rest on/secure too.

but would look a lot cleaner with the fastener being flush.
