i get the wife thing... my jeep is an auto for that same reason.

anyways...look at lentech thats the only way i'd go if i did an auto that wasnt a c4

keep in mind for a good converter you want either a lentech or a precision idustries stallion. lentech will actually warranty their trannies which says everything for me.

i did a 2200 in one of my old cars and it felt stock... so if you want more than stock do a 3k converter. another decent upgrade is the "wide ratio" kit, better parts better gearing.. it's about $500

will upgrade 1st from 2.40-2.84 and 2nd from 1.47 to 1.55

also wider OD band which is the weakest link in the aod. manual VB is pretty important if you'll ever see track time, as the only way to manually shift an aod is to the "aod shuffle" where you hold first, shift to D, back to first to hold second and then back to D.

it works.... but all the while ruining your trans. leave it in D and you'll shift into 2nd about 4000 and 3rd even lower

len uses a lockout where you just do 1-d-od then electronically lets od shift for non-racing

good luck with it... they are a ton of fun. im still kicking a 5.0 around after 20 years
