88' 5.0 HO in 88' LX
 

Hello,

I've got an 88 5.0L HO manual and the body and frame are quite rough.

I was thinking of possibly dropping the motor/trans etc into an 88' LX ive found that is in great shape.

Can anyone give me an idea on the amount of work to do this?

I'm new to mustangs so be gentle. lol

As long as you take everything from the 85, it should be a straight forward swap.

I'm assuming you are doing a 4 cylinder to 8 cylinder swap.

especially since the 88LX came with a 5.0 HO

ya sorry, it is a 4 cyl. to 8 cyl swap

Also does it matter if the 4cyl was an auto?

it dont matter just more to swap its not a hard swap to do takes time
