[quote=Epic91GT;7786833]i dont disagree with you as my car is a 4cyl that i swapped a v8 into so if i went to the extreme i would automatically be out. but r u saying that u can put a eaton supercharger on your car off a cobra and since it is an OEM adder it is fine to use?

IDK about the class rules but if I had an Eaton on mine I would still call it a all stock motor

NHRA will throw you instantly if you showed up with an Eaton on anything that wasn't made that way.
They use casting/forging numbers all the wat thru the engine.
They have an 'approved' replacement piston list so you can replace pistonds.
Acid porting (illegal too) was done so that you could have a mildly ported head without any tool marks ever showing up. Same was done to intake manifolds also. In response NHRA started putting out lists of correct heads for everything with what the maximum amount of cc's could be in the runners.
Stopped all that real quick.
Coatings on engine parts is one area thats still pretty much wide open and I know all sorts of exotic things are being done.
Certain mods to hydralic roller lifters are done too so that they function as solids.......
