Default Turning the cooling fan on sooner?

Is there any way to adjust when the radiator fan comes on? My car seems to run on the hot side(runs around the L on NORMAL). When it is sitting at idle it runs cooler, but runs hot the faster you drive. When the fan kicks on it seems to cool down OK. Maybe the fan is not kicking on when it should?

your fan has a low speed and high speed. Perhaps it isnt coming on at the pre-programmed low temp.

Yes, it can be turned on at a lower temperature, but the adjustment is made through the ECM, and that requires a chip.

I could do it for you, But it would run you about $85

I'll try and see if I'm getting a low and high speed fan.

Thanks!

It's not the fans job to cool the radiator when you drive above 40 mph. They are only for very slow driving and while stopped.

Maybe your radiator is due for replacement.

Ya well a bunch of name calling and comments like "that has NOTHING to do with this thread" are below me.

Add your response and let others add their's.

Your general attitude sensed in most responses (in other threads) make me pretty confindent you do not talk like this to people to their face.

lol I'm confused now, but first things first as for everything, check your fluid level. Usually its the opposite effect, but cooling systems can also run into crazy issues
