Default My Shifter Install w/Holcomb Plate

Okay well here's how I started out (how I got the car)

I decided to do a little research on the internet to find a better answer to having an aftermarket shifter and I found that a lot of guys were using the holcomb plate to lower the shifter. lucky for me the holcomb plate is compatible with the shifter I already had (B&M Pro Shifter)
The person who installed the shifter welded a plate to the hump to cover the factory hole then bolted a metal square box to it to mount the shifter on, so it took some work to get it all tore out.
after I got the spot cleared out I realised the factory hole was slightly smaller that the plate.

so using a set of tin snips I trimmed out about an inch and a half on the front and the back and installed some anchors in the hump

drilled some new holes in the plate to line up with the anchors and got some small bolts from home depot and it was in!

I test fitted the center console I got from the junk yard to make sure everything was good

the trigger was a little too long so I had to trim it down with a drimel so I could put it in park
I painted the center console and put everything together

in drive

to help it go all the way back I had to notch the bezel a little bit

heres a couple pictures of the finished product with the black dash I put in

Time to clean...I KNOW lol

thanks for looking

I did ours the same way with the shifter boot and the plate to sink it in the floor. It looks so much better then that hacked up mess you had before..Great job

Yeah it works out perfect although I will probably try a rubber boot over the lever to keep the wear down on the boot.
