Actually I just stumbled across a thread on corral.net and quite a few guys say they're garbage and that the flowmasters tailpipes are way better. I just might pick up the flowmaster American thunder catback and comes with tailpipes and flowmaster 44s and I won't have to deal with this tailpipe welding issue.

flowmasters.... blegh.

Why don't you buy a respectable catback, not the average redneck trash exhaust.

If there's any other catback out there that comes with LX style tailpipes then yes, I just haven't seen any other ones. IMO, rolled tips or anything like that are not for this car.

flowmaster, edelbrock, mac, pypes, magnaflow, slp, summit......all have cat backs. not all have polished tips.

I recommend looking around and find the sound you want, pick up those mufflers, some new flow tubes and then get the tips. They don't all have to be welded together. They make clamps for a reason

Here's the pics of the "dumps", first is the passenger side, the second is the drivers side. Let me know what ya'll think, I think I can cut after the mufflers and add flowmaster tips.

Dude,...really?.... all you are missing is the front pieces for the MAC's Unfortunately you can't get just the tips I don't think but you can call MAC and find out.

Never seen those Mac tailpipes before but from the picture they seem to bolt right up to mine, I hope the don't hit the axle though, looks like a tight fit.
