Default what years are best for mods

I know a lot about mustangs and am looking at getting one. Ive never had a fox body and am guessing out of the '87 to current they are the easiest and cheapest to mod. Anything to watch out for on the '87 to '93 and is there one year better than another?

I believe stock for stock, the Speed Density cars (87-88) were the quickest. Now as far as mods go, 89-93 is MAF which is easier to mod. I THINK ford stopped forged internals in either the 92 or 93 years. if thats the case I would go with an 89-91. If you not worried about blowing the thing up then 89-93 is fine. I would personally go for the 93. The last year of any model usually has the least issues, IMO.

Finding an unmolested low mileage fox is getting harder to even impossible. Most of these cars already have the basic bolt ons and even new motors/trans. My dream car is a garaged-since-new Fox that has been maintained and looks like it just drove off the lot. Those cars were my dream cars when I was a kid. While I have had a few, I want a true low mileage fox. Good luck in the hunt!
