hey guys, looking to sell my stock motor..it's a 91 so forged pistons, which should help selling it. It runs great. I've been driving the car EVERY day. Probably sell the aod with it. I'm dropping in a 408 which will be carbed. So, my question is....what is a FAIR price to ask for this thing. I'm not out to rape anyone, I know it's not GOLD. But, I don't want to lose my a** either. IT will be complete, motor, harness injection...everything that I won't need. Just want to know what would be fair. I'm not sure where to start. Thanks for any direction you can point me.

Try to sell it to a street rodder type.
$400-700 for one as complete as you describe is not out of line.......

If complete motor runs good 300
Transmission in good shape 300
Computer wiring harness easy 300

The going price in my area is 500-700 for just the motor and usually it's fubar or not complete

What's the mileage on it?

No sure of actual mileage. It's suppose to be 160k but the previous owner said "it was rebuilt at @96k." We all know how that goes. Either way, actually runs great. Still in the car now and id gladly take it on a trip. Just don't need it with the 408 comin together. The auto is about as good as a stock aod gets.
