I prefer using studs, just because heads are so damn expensive, its better to screw up a stud which is then removable, than have a bolt break off in the head. That's just a pain in the ***.

Plus, you get more even torque on the manifold by using studs.

As for intake gaskets, Ive always used Felpro 1262 or 1250 gaskets.
