I'd of went with cast steel crank, forged crank is an utter waste in a stock block, block will go long before cast steel crank does and when it does you're out less money, that's to say you have a stock block, but you have what you have now. I assume you intend to s/c it??

Yea I know but I didn't build the motor. As far as I know it is a stock block. The previous owner had another fox prior to this one, similar setup on a stock block pushing around 530whp and it held, so we'll just wait and see. Eventually it will be on boost, for now I plan to run spray.

you could put 650 on the block and it hold, but when the intended use is racing, using the motors full potential constantly will cause it to fail, just a matter of time, cap walk is the prob, here's a good read, my 89 is a 306 with full h/c/i and a t-trim with 12 psi, while it's not tuned yet due to inadequate fuel system and an oil pressure issue currently, I 'm gonna keep it around the 425-450 range rwhp and it'll hopefully survive longer, here is the inevitible path the stock block takes = good read, the OP is the builder of my 85's block so he knows what's up http://forums.corral.net/forums/5-0-...eaks-pics.html
Should have kept the four-eye till 93 in my opinion. The four-eye with fog lights is just down right sexy!!
Why thank you, you make us blush...
I do agree though, I like the full out ground effects kit they came out with for the later foxes, but still I was never real impressed with foxes til I saw mine. Im sure it was a lot to do with marketing of that time era though.
