Default 95 Cobra 300 RWP??

Ok, I just signed up here. I recently got myself a 95 Cobra. I have wanted a 5.0 for so damn long and I am thrilled about it. Shes def. worn out. 171k on her. I plan on doing a full rebuild of the motor from the ground up. All I want to know is, is it possible to get to 300 RWHP without any power adder?? I really dont want forced induction (yet) and I am not a big fan of spray. Any ideas or thoughts would be awesome.

Thanks guys,
Mike.

A nice heads cam and intake swap will get you there very easily.

If you are going to rebuild the motor anyway, you might as well go all out. Sure 300rwhp is okay, but it is really nothing special. You will be better off stroking your shortblock to a 347. Add a pair of AFR 185's or TFS 190 FAC's, custom cam or Comp XE cam(XE274-HR my preferance), and an Edlebrock RPM II or Holley Systemax. Result: 370-390rwhp/ 360-400rwtrq. Do it once! Do it right!

If you are dead set on 300rwhp however, AFR 165's/TFS TW heads, custom cam, ported cobra(lower) intake will get you there.
