I have a 90 GT that im trying to figure out what the rear end gears are...i bought the car off someone who wasnt sure what it had. My speedo is off by about 15 mph. Is there any way i can find out without taking the cover off the rear end? It also has a tremec trans so not sure if that would factor in. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

jack up the rear of the car, mark the driveshaft and mark one tire. turn the tire until it has made one complete revolution. Count how many times the driveshaft spins.

Should the drivehaft counter becomes confused...send him for more beer. Try another counter.
