Default let me know what you thing about this..

in search of making my truck a little more enjoyable. Ive been told by a buddy from work that my best bet to make some decent power is to ditch my EFI and go with a holly 660 with n20 (150shot). With 411 gears in a mustang rearend that i can pick up from a junkyard. he went through a few more possibility's but i thing that should be a good start. what do you guys think?

he lied to you. switching to a carb will cost you money and net you no power gain.

there is nothing wrong with your EFI... he may be confusing the intake manifold on your car... but thats hardly a reason to switch to carb.

those mods... You are going to need to start being ALOT more specific. The factory fuel rails and hoses will hold 400+ hp, the injectors are good for ~280BHP, and you havent even asked about any "mods"

So how about we start over, and you tell us what your goal is for the truck... ok?

goal would be just to have a quick street truck. Not set on a specific Qt mile time/WHP ect.. but I am set on the n2o with supporting cam, new timing chain, possibly a new tv and rear end with 411 gears.

If you are going to do a cam swap, you should definitely consider atleast a set of GT40 heads, and a new intake. As for the nitrous shot, my personal suggestion would be a plate kit. If you look around, the GT40 big shot plate set can be found... match it up with a GT40 intake and you'll have a stout little runner.
