I have seen a nice mustang get just smashed because of using tie straps as pins. Never seen someone leave them out though. I hae had one come up before. I had just bought the thing that month and the safty latch didn't work to well. oh well

Whats the deal anyway with the hood pins? Why do people use them instead of the normal latch?

I actually made the mistake of not closing the hood all the way on mine, but since I had the original latch on it, I noticed it fluttering a little, and I pulled over and shut it, without ruining my hood and cowl.
