T-Top Weatherstrip question (Convertible too possibly)
Anyways I'm putting new weatherstrip on my car. I pulled all the old stuff thinking I'd get around to putting the new stuff on a week or two later. Well **** happens and it's now months down the road and I'm just now getting around to it and I can't remember how part of it goes.
First, there's these 3 plastic pins that my weatherstrip goes down far enough to cover, but I don't know how they hook on? http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...n/11cd3996.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...n/1c5f3d15.jpg And then up here at the top, I'm not sure how this hole is used for holding it on? I think this one could be figured out by just looking at a ttop car with the weatherstip on it already. http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...n/7da31e8c.jpg |
I'll uncover mine today and let you know. just replaced a few months ago.

Thanks for the link Almost Stock. That must be the thing the guy was talking about over on Corral.
|
It's a good possibility and if not hopefully the link I posted helps you?
|
Yeah it's deffinately going to help. I just need to figure out what to do with the 3 pins on the lower part of the a pillar. It addresses the one on the b pillar but unfortunately to the a pillar.

Thanks Almost stock. I see by the diagram that i have done some of mine wrong. Will have to redo when weather gets warm again.
Amazing the info you have, Thanks again. |
Hey eb2gt, how did you do the 3 tree pins below the a pillar retainer?
|
I have to look at mine again 5.0, will let you know later today.

Five OH.
My left side is broken off. The right side is still there and i have not installed new strip on that side yet. I checked the new weather strip and there is not any cuts or notches for the pegs you and I are looking at. Maybe Almost Stock can help us here. |
