MPG estimates please!
I am looking at a 1990 mustang gt with a 347 stroker motor, v-1 vortech supercharger, comp cam, windsor senior alluminum heads 70mm throttle body 202/160 valves, mass air flow with 50lb injectors, two fuel pumps 255 in tank, stock trany and stock gears what i want to know if how bad will the gas mileage be can anyone help me out?

It'll really come down to the cam and your driving style. If you had a custom cam w/a small amount of overlap your MPG would be a bit better plus you'll make more use of the boost.
I don't see why you couldn't get 22-ish on a road trip. Maybe 18-20 around town with moderate driving style.

yeah i know it plays its just it will be my DD and ok guys thanks 18-20 around town sounds fine i have a bmw 323 right now gets me on average 24 city and highway but i once had an 05 wrangler rubicon with 4.10 gears and a 19 gallon tank that kiiiiled me. it was getting about 8-14. also do u think ill have to put 93 octane because of the blower or is regular okay?

If the car will run on 87 octane, you will know it when you drive it because it will feel like a stock foxbody. If you get in it and it is busting the tires loose in 3rd gear then yeah, you will need 93.
With that said, I have never seen a set of winsor sr. that are aluminum. I am sure they probably have made them and I just don't know about it. Also, a 347 with a v-1 is a little much. Makes me think something is wrong. Anyways, I would at least look at the balancer to make sure it is a 28oz or something different than the stock weight so I know I am getting what I pay for. That is not a 100% correct way of knowing because a 347 could a 50oz but, at least you know the crank is something besides a stock ford piece if it has a 28oz balancer.
Also, the throttle body seems small for a 347....just seems to me like something that wasn't very thought out ya know?

haha i know you wernt soldier gt and no i dont have any pictures its a persepctive buy still. im trying to decide if its worth it or not. and it does have a 28oz balance. i dont know ive yet to go check it out i need to sell my R1 first to get the cash. my main concern is that the trans is a stock t-5 and the rear is stock, the motor has 0 miles it was just put in and not on the road yet which makes me think he wont put it on the road because he knows that tranny wont hold the power but i figure with a good rebuild that tranny should hold fine because it has a centerforce dual friction clutch which i hear can really take abuse.
