Need help with 87 5.0
 

Hello. I have a 87 5.0. I had my mustang at my parents house and it got infested with mice. I recently brought my mustang to my house. I cleaned everything out and checked all the wires and I don't see any damaged. The car starts up but if I open the throttle all the way it just stalls and doesn't respond at all. If I gradually rev it up it's ok but sometimes it backfires. Please give me any advice. Thanks f

i had this happen with an 86 GT that had sat up for many years and i went thru the whole process of cleaning tank, inj, lines, etc and it turned out to be the fuel pump was going bad, check ur fuel pressure before u do anything because that would have saved me a lot of headache.
