Default 1993 fox igintion?

hello to all... i will be getting my 93 gt convert back from the body shop next week and i will be putting the interior back in. my question is, i want to put in toggel switchs in the ash trey area to start the car, no ore key... my question is how do i keep the steering wheel unlocked.. if i take out the key switch, will that let the wheel move freely or is it wires i will have to play with...

Steering wheel is a mechanical lock. You are making the vehicle easy to steal.

I'm with those guys, it would make it extremely easy to steal. If you really wanted a push button start, I'd recommend using the key still and just rewire the ignition to where the key doesn't actually start it, but you have to have it in the run position for it to start/run. But then that's just more work.

Is there a reason you want to add toggle switches to start the car?

I was looking to do something different. I have changed my mind. I will keep the key...
