Suggestion for website on a rear lx bumper

I plan on taking the gt bumper of the 1990 and putting an lx bumper on, I have never been a fan of the rear end. Is there a website you recommend that does a good job making new ones, I have heard guys complain about buying new ones and they do not fit properly. Is this something I could even find in a junk yard, never went to a junk yard for parts. thanks.

I would maybe try Late Model Restoration for one.
Quality of replacement varies a lot so you never know what you'll get.
I'd try for something made from the original Ford tooling however.......

LMR or national parts depot, NPD is going to be more expensive

Keep in mind, the body molding is different between the GT & LX, so it would look funny using the LX rear & keeping the GT moldings. Maybe the 93 Cobra style rear bumper would be a better choice as it matches the GT molding & allows the use of LX tailpipes.

As in the lower graphics around the whole car? Might get rid of it all eventually anyways depending on how it looks. I wish they made a rear bumper that would work with the gt graphics on the side and have it sweep up on the sides of the bumper to the lx height then in the back.

Not just the lower effects, but the body molding running midline around the car. The LX has a narrower stripe inset that the GT. The Cobra rear does just about exactly what you want.

Another quick question while on the topic of doing this, is it possible to just use the gt pipes and modify them with some welding and measuring? Thanks.

I don't see why you couldn't.......
