Default building up a 1984 block 5.0 for my 85 need help

Well first off I bought the block to replace mine because it decided that it did not want to be a motor anymore just a big *** paper weight. I was told to either go with x303 cam or e303. Well since I want to have fun this summer I want to the best one to use and what I all need because I am going to get a 331 stroker kit and new aluminum heads now what rockers do I need and would the pushrods be the same

neither of those cams are "the best one to use"

Wait until you have your shortblock built, heads chosen, and intake... then contact a custom cam grinder about making a cam that matches your combo.

here is a killer set up for you, it's what all budget shopper wanna hear:

331 stroker short block cause 347 burn oil
gt-40 3 bar heads no spring upgrade needed for x -cam (rev it to da' moon)
1.6 stock stamped steel rockers (no need for roller rockers, cause member told me they offer no performance gain.
x- cam cause bigger is better
explorer intake
use stock push rods
add your choice of exhaust (dynomax kicks **** IMO) OR GLASSPACKS FTW
3.55 gears cause 3.73's will kill gas mileage and 4.10's are to much

Gauranteed 375+ rwhp!!

You realize that if you have an '84 block you can't use any of the hydraulic roller cams don't you?
I wouldn't use any of those Ford letter series cams anyway.

Got to remember that those Ford letter cams were the big deal 20+ years ago when there wasn't anything else to use.
Plenty of other stuff out there now..........

Well this really isn't helping me out telling me that I can't or shouldn't use something and then leave me to think about what I should do I don't want to beat around the bush. I want around 350 + hp out of either an 84 block or a 85 block one would be better to biuld and what should I put in it is basicly what it comes down to

Do you want step by step instructions?

Call a performance shop
Tell them how much power you want
Tell them what its going in
Give them a blank check.

You aren't going to get anywhere near 350 with the **** parts you've got in mind.
