So yeah my hood flew up today.... awesome.... not really and it bent the hell out of the cowl vent metal support and broke the cowl vent... here's a picture
Can body shops fix this and anyone know how much it would cost if I didn't care about repaint.

i hate to add insult to injury...but i can almost guarantee you DIDNT use a cervini or harwood cuz you wanted to save $100
this is my comment every time someone wants ABC, or some other fly by night fiberglass hood
anyways...your in it for a few. yes it can be fixed, but its pretty broken
PS , always use hood pins on fiberglass no matter who makes it, but ESPECIALLY if it isnt harwood or cervini

11 years running a ABC hood and not once has it ever come up.. probably because I always double check that it's fasten in place and not just closed.
And even with hood pins it can happen if you double check.

and does it look awesome and fit good ?
cuz i have yet to see one that didnt need minimum of 5 hours of fitting and sanding to be flat and close correctly
not picking on ABC alone....EVERYTHING that isnt HO fibretrends(no longer in business) cervini or harwood is junk

Yes it does in both cases!
The body guy who has been in the business for over 40 years along with the painter said that it was probably one of the easiest hood they've had to prep and paint in years.
I heard the the same thing from every HO Fibretrends,Cervini, or Harwwood owner so your comment does surprise me that if you don't don't pay twice the price it can't possibly look awesome or fit.
I've never had any dealings with HO Fibretrends or Harwwood but I have with Cervini and I can tell you from personal experience there is no way I'd ever buy another product from Cervini. Can you say that about ABC or is what you're saying about ABC only hearsay?
We can battle all day long but I've got pictures to back up what I'm saying from other/ older post about Cervini.
