Good Deal?

I am looking at a 88 GT with a 302 and a t5 8.8 rear, guys asking 900
I come from a really messed family so I'm pretty much wiping out petty cash other than savings to buy this and it needs a couple hundred put in to it, transportation is not an issue so there's no hurry on it.

I want build hot rods for a career so I want something to show what I've done and I'm willing to take the risk on it.
Any advice?

P.S.
I have to decide by midnight 3/13/12

Does it run? Id say any car that runs for 900 is worth it...

Look REAL careful for any rust on the underside of the car.
Michigan cars will usually have some rust under them........

I'd also look for any jury rigged wires under the hood. Electrical bugs can be a nightmare.

So, your family has no money, and you are wasting what you have on a piece of **** car?

Real friggin smart!

I probably should clarify a little, my dad took all my savings as a kid, But i'm out on my own now with a good job and a place to live that isn't going anywhere anytime soon,
So no I'm not hurting a family I'm just gonna be short on cash and the risk that's involved, but my passion is working on cars, so I'm willing to jump off the bridge so to speak.

I still think you are making a stupid decision. a $900 foxbody in Michigan is going to be a pile of rust.
