Default couple of updates.

So its been a while since around early January. Lots has been done to the car. Had the racepak and msd powergrid wired up to the speed wire system. Got the engine seated nicely and fitted and then we hit a snag.

What am I going to do about the tranny and rear end? I was on the edge with my gilde in terms of the stock gear set and the input shaft. and the rear end needed different brakes to fit wheels and an axle upgrade.

Well short story I decided to ask a sponsor for a large sum of money. They approved and wrote me a check for a fat sum of $7000.00 that money is now going to an upgraded tranny with a 1.80 gear set and a NASA input shaft along with different clutches set up for a sbf n/a combo. Also the rear end is going back under the knife, 35 spline strange axles and a spool. Having it shortened 2.75" on each side and tossing my wilwood big brakes for Strange pro steel brakes. For wheels Im dumping the prostars in favor of 15x12 champion wheels Speed series beadlocks with a 29x10.5w tire http://www.cwibeadlock.com/SS%20blac...%20closeup.jpg

This is also requiring me to mini tub the car. I went with the racecraft tub kit. along with strange double adjustable shocks.

Finally we are trying to get to 2500 lbs race weight so I went ahead and ordered a set of motorcity solutions fiberglass doors, and a carbon fiber front fasica from them this should put us around 2550 race weight. http://www.racecraft.com/bmz_cache/f...ge.723x550.jpg

All in all the car should be done in a few weeks and ready for testing.

Get acquainted to the power so a few weeks of testing, then start putting the wick to the burner. Hopefully at this weight we can go 8.70s on motor with out having to go to q16

We're waitin'.
New cars are always fun, running into that last minute snag or waiting for stuff to ship......
