I have an 88 gt with the molding stripe that is light blue and I am in the process of getting rid of the stripe. I was able to use a stripping wheel on all the plastic parts but am unsure of how to get rid of the door trim stripe. that piece is rubber and the stripping wheel is also rubber and it would only burn through the stripe and trim piece. What would be easier and do the least amount of damage, repainting the trim or use a paint safe sticker stripper? I know a lot of you on here have done this before and I would appreciate whatever assistance you could offer, Thanks!

I'm assuming the stripe is just like tape? If so, take a heat gun and a plastic scraper. Careful that you don't get it too hot and it will come right off. Then you're just left with residue to clean off.
