going to the track tonight...
ok so i am taking the Cobra to the track for the first time tonight. i am running 275/40R17 Nexen N3000 rears at 30psi may drop it more. wore out stock suspension, so you know its soft. lol any one wanna take guess on what its going to run and see who is closest? i am not sure what to expect out of it, as long as it will out run the 98 GT i had a 15.3 (spinning through 4th).

Spinning through 4th!!??? idk 15.4?
ok so i am back from the track. my best time was as follows-
R/T- .349 60'- 2.388 330'- 6.358 1/8- 9.633 MPH- 75.75 1000'- 12.434 1/4- 14.811 MPH- 95.17 car hooked pretty good launch at about 3k and ride the clutch out and chirp in second. i was kinda disappointing i thought maybe mid to low 14's but oh well. so he is the question, i have $200 so do what ever i want with my car what should the next thing be to help get better a ET? i have pullies, full exhaust, and 3.73 gears. any suggestions? |
How about some freakin rubber? Oh but that might bog it down though!
I kinda figure a Nitto tire would help. I have seen stock foxbodys go quicker than that in the 1/8th with nothing more than pulleys.
i have just made the decision i am in search of slicks and a set of wheels! my 98 with all the spinning would run 9.30s in the 8th
Shhhh Man a 2.38 sixty is bad. That's front wheel drive civic sixty.
yea yea i know. i am rusty on my launch, like i said its been 4 plus years since i ran a car at the track! i will get there. i gotta find some slicks and wheels anybody want to donate to the God awe full 60' fund? lol
You WILL be slower with slicks get a radial!!! Watch and see.....
