Well two weeks ago i came across a 1989 lx and could not pass it up.so here is my first 5.0 car.I have been looking for over a year to find one in good shape to build,but everything around here is a rust buecket.





I got it for 1200 bucks.Has no rust what so ever. Has a rebuilt 306 with bbk long tube headers,bbk x-pipe,flowmasters,5.0 shifter,gt 40 heads and intake manifold.has a rebuilt t5 transmission,has brand new cowl hood.saleen wing and gt ground effects.

I was having a volt problem the reason the guy sold it well,come to find out it was a bad alternator which i took care of and now it runs perfect.
It has the ugly red inside which i done rip it out and painted the dash black and found some black seats.Going to work on getting it sand down and in primer this weekend.

Got the car sand and primed this pass week.did some other some things like,tinted the head and taillights,painted the rims black,and got some black seats put in along with getting the dash & trim painted. Here some pics.

Looking good! When I bought my car 12 years ago it had black interior but turns out it was originally blue but the PO painted it. Never really liked the paint because any scratch would show the blue and some paint flaked off. Over the years I pieced together factory black parts and it looks great now. I think any factory color can look good as long as its clean including the porno red LOL.
