Time to attempt the dreaded california smog today.. again. Are there any preparations i can make before the test?

The car idles at 750 rpm. Timing is set to 14*. Should i bring it back to factory (10*) or does that even matter? It's on 91octane as always and i used a bottle of that crc "guaranteed to pass" stuff in the last tank. Not sure if it works but i guess i'll see.

Is there anything else i should do before the test today?

If the lines are long, shut it off. Don't idle it in line for long periods to run the AC as it will likely load up. About a minute before they stick it, hold the rpms about 1200-1300 so the cats are nice & hot as they'll work most efficiently when up to temp. Good luck :-)

Nope. Not old enough in cali at least. I hate this state.

And thanks. Hopefully the cats'll be warmed up enough when i get there. Just took the timing down a notch between 10* & 12*
