Restoring the Engine Bay
Hi, I'm new here so if this thread is in the wrong place I apologize. Onto my question.
Whats the best way to go about Restoring An Engine Bay? I have a 1986 Mustang GT I got from my uncle and well.... its seen better days. A lot of rust and corrosion in the Engine Bay for some reason. A lot more than the rest of the car. There are a couple of large metal peices which have practically nothing left of them, and I have no Idea what they are or how to fix them.

Whatever metal is rusted cut around and weld new pieces in place, or cut out the rust cover it with metal plates an then paint it to prevent further rust damage. Theres is a few differnt ways to go about it.

Ok, Thanks for the welcomes. The Driver side Frame Rail is practically gone. Any Ideas of how to fix it up? I could just buy a completely new one from LRS but I dont have 260 dollars laying around so that option is out for the moment. I've heard about welding them up, but theres really nothing left of it. I would add pictures but I'm apparently not allowed to have thread attachments as a newbie. Thanks for any Advice.
