Suddenly discouraged about modding...

Well I tried to get the bolts loose on the headers, but it just wasn't going to happen without an impact wrench, which I don't have. Plus, I've been there before with my 65 mustang having bolts break and strip. No thanks. So I paid someone $120 to install the h-pipe and i am very pleased.
It sounds about the same at idle, but when I get around 1500+ rpms and stomp on the gas, it sounds like a whole new beast. Exhaustgasm.

Well I decided to change my exhaust manifold on my 65 mustang a few years ago. The bolts broke off and the head had to be drilled and rebuilt. Turned into an expensive ordeal. I felt better just paying someone a bit to get this done and done right.

Gears: $150 (ring & pinion) + $675 (bearings + install kit + labor) + $90 for gear oil change after 500 mile break-in = $915. Not bad when three of the shops I called said a minimum of $1000-$1500.
SpeedCal: $123
Exhaust: $357 parts + $120 labor = $477.
I'm pleased overall Now I need to work on fixing some things like a problem with my steering.
