Default too much hp or how much

is 450 hp too much hp for my 1988 5.0 turbo for my daily driver at 10 psi or can my stock block handle more

Depends how well it's tuned. You're right at the threshold of when they start cracking.

it tunes with a big air sct 3000 maf its a solid tune i just here of guys with 550 hp stock block daily drivers

I agree with mattdel. Some guys run big numbers for years without issue. Some guys break **** as soon as they ad power.

it also depends on things like machine work, balancing job, and assembly! that goes a long way!!

if you're putting a bunch of money into it anyway, buy an aftermarket block and never worry about it again.

i wish i could get a block too much right now my shop said it was a safe tune just asking if guys are doing it with no problem

Easy to say that but money is always one of the biggest factors in modding. If money was no object I'd just get a new GT500 and be done with it.

For something around 500hp a stock block done right will last most of the time! spend the extra money on the studs instead of bolts use a main support where if your block lets go that all you will loose!
