Default fox body restoration?

So ive been thinking about a new project can and ive been thinking about everything from building my 07 civic si to buying a miata and shoving a lsx motor in it but i cant make up my mind of what i want but one thing that keeps popping in my head is buying back my first mustang a 92 5.0 lx and restoring it. the only problem is after i sold it to my cousin when i joined the navy he road it pretty hard and last time i herd it running it sounded like an old diesel truck. its been parked since and has been for prolly the last year or two. and im trying to decide if its worth restoring when there are countless 4cyl foxs in good shape that i could swap and turn into a real runner. its going to need full interior, new engine/trans, body work, paint, the list goes on and on but it holds that sentimental value as it was the first mustang i ever worked on what do you guys think is it worth the money? i could prolly buy the car back for $500 or $1,000 so entry price isnt bad and im not wanting it to be on the road next week idk im just very undecided lol

In my honest opinion, I would buy it back if it were me in your shoes. My first and only mustang is my current 95 GT, and it has that sentimental value to it also. It doesn't matter how tattered and torn or the mileage or whatever, its still the FIRST mustang.

Plus, I don't like Hondas hahaha.

Buy it back. Even we me having the new boss and driving it more (mainly just because its easier to get out) I still love my 5.0 and will never sell it. It was my first car ever.

Kinda like my 8n I got from my dad who got it from his dad. Too much sentimental value to ever part with it, even if I live in the city(but thats not going to happen).

I would also try and get it back provided it didn't have major damage to fix. I wish i had the money to try and get my first Mustang back. Good luck to ya.
