Default 5.0 throttle body question

I just bought a 70mm bbk throttle body for my stang and was wandering can I run it with the stock MAF and if I did would I see any gain at all?

You can use it, it wont hurt your performance but without a 70mm MAF or bigger you wont get the entire use of it, 73mm will complement it nicely!

Like mentioned above. The stock MAF is still a choke point. If it's restricting air I doubt the new TB is going to do much for you.

No gain by just using that and those bbk tb from what I read whistle at idol ? I also think the stock upper intake on your car is only made for a 65 tb or smaller the air will not flow properly? good luck....

I also have a gt40 upper (explorer) will this accommodate the 75mm TB and has anyone used this set up?

I would get an sn95 maf...that's what I'm using with my 70mm bbk throttle body. You can get an sn95 maf cheap at a junkyard...got mine for 30 out of a 95 v6. You just have to get an adapter for the air intake
