Which gear is better

Everyday driver 3.73 or 4.10

On an everyday driver 3.73 for ever so slightly better gas milage. But your question is like asking whats better vanilla or chocolate.

I agree with Blue..The gas mileage is very minimal (I've had both in my car). I would go with the 410's if I were you. Do you have a STS (Short Throw Shifter)??

I like 3.73 for the t5 and 4.10's with the aod!

I've seen about 5 different threads about dif gears and I've only been on the boards for 2 months.

I think it's even worse in the 4.6 section.....

I have 3.73's and love them. With my new set up up im going with I'm considering going 4.10's but I'll figure that out after i get it up and running.

I have 3.73 in my current car (306 supercharged T5) in my old car (351 carbuerated C4) i had 4.10.... each fit the car about right IMO.

I had 4.10s on my 96gt and 3.73s on my 88 lx... gas mileage is SLIGHTLY and i mean barely better. what i tell people for an automatic go 4.10s, for a 5 speed go 3.73s.

That's just how I feel

Cool thanks for the input I am running the t5 and putting in the sts this weekend. Does anyone have the Max speed in each gear that would be helpful for my decision.
