Not trying to sound like a dick, but you have a v8. If you're worried about the gas mileage maybe you should buy a DD.

Anyways, one thing to keep an eye on is your tire pressure.

Wow, maybe drive it easier? I get 20 in a modded 5.0. Don't use the A/C even though it's hot where you are.

You can have your cake and eat it too.

With 4.10s, underdrives, 245-45-17s, no cats, e-fan and timing set to 14deg I get 20.x on a regualar basis. And I go 0-60 WOT every chance I get.
I drive the speed limits.. but I get there fast every possible opportunity. ;-)

Recently went on a 1300mile road trip and got 25.xmpg I averaged a little slower than traffic @ 63mph but... 4.10s with windows down the entire time and getting 25mpg is "cool" in my book.

One thing often over looked but well worth the trouble is a properly working EGR system. (it recycles a small % of exhaust which is inert gasses and displaces air & fuel)
