Thanks, I'm really not worried about the purchase. It's a good deal even if I may have trouble selling it down the road. I'll get a complete walkthrough at an autobody shop to see if they see anything out of the ordinary.

Pics are coming.....

Congrats on the car. Might want to get a carfax to see what was fixed. Normally salvage titles are for a totaled car. But sometimes they are given to cars that were flooded, which would be a good thing if this was what happened.

I did get a carfax... no details at all except things like "total loss" and "major damage". Not very settling.... I can't find any slight issues under the car... all fender tags match... no clue. Just the drivers door seemed to not be from the car as it was originally a different color. That's all I can find so far. Time to got to an autobody shop and see what they can dig up.

Good luck whatever happens. Flood would be major damage b/c the need to replace everything so lets hope that the issue. Insurances decide it is cheaper to scrap then try to replace everything except body.

I think you paid too much, but I am also a pessimist...

case in point, I paid 3 grand for my former 1991 lx 5.0 as seen in my sig, lightly modded, 121 on the clock but needed new uphoulstry and top.... after some drunk guy at my college was kind enough to get caught giving my convertible a sunroof, he paid for the damages and I got a free roof. then I redid the uphoulstry myself with a late model resto kit (which was very nicely put together) and she was good to go.

that was in 2007 or so, drove the car every day, put 50,000 miles on it wrecked it once, then sold i for 1800 last year in need of paint, a new master cylinder and a general overhaul
