93Reborn....The Winter Saga......
Well the time has come to start a small build, or should I say rebuild, thread of the 93. Over the last year or more I have slowly made a list of small things here and there I wanted to do to the car. These range from more cubes, to weight reduction, brake upgrades....everyone knows how that goes. I again have a garage of my own again so now I can finally work on things long term.
Well the snow hasn't hit yet so there isn't a reason to actually have parked my stang yet BUT as most have seen in my other thread the engine developed a really bad tap/knock. This ended up being a screw from the throttle body blade came loose because the shaft broke and got sucked into the number 4 cylinder. I drove it about 30 miles like this after it started and it never got worse.
Well as of right now funds are very limited so I can't do eveything I wanted so the necessities are probably gonna be it. As of right now it is rering the engine to get rid of the 2 cast pistons I had in the engine and the screwed up #4. I am also going to flip the pistons around so they are facing backwards to give the old school trick a shot since I plan on FINALLY dropping a 351w in it next winter. Then I am going to do some more porting here and there through out the heads, intake and exhaust manifolds.
I want to rebuild the T5 also so we will see how that goes. The FRPP HD clutch is still in great shape so its going back in as is.....
I am also going finally take care of the rear disc swap using the axles and brakes out of my 98. I am throwing the 02 rear end I have in it to allow it to benefit from having a trac loc 8.8 lol....
Weight reduction has also started.....
pics to follow.....
