4.10 or 3.73 gears
#22
Hey everyone thank you for responding and giving me advice and opinions. I just did a few 1st gear pulls tonight meaning i rolled a bit in 1st cuz i cant hook. I have 275-40-17 in the rear. I know this might sound stupid and you will all thrash me and call me dumb but oh well, this guy on youtube that has almost identical mods as my car almost EXACTLY identical. Car sounds the same, and so he has a few videos of 1/4 mile passes and ripping the car in the street and highway pulls. He also has 4:10's which he installed because the car was bought stock as i would assume. So the sound and gears of my pulls sounded almost identical. Ill put up a video soon to see what you guys think!

How about you take 5 mins, get the car in the air, rotate the rear wheel and count the spins of the driveshaft. There is a big difference on the count of the 3.73 and the 4.10 as you already know. Yes its not exact but it takes care of the normal aftermarket gears that are installed. There are other variations such as a 3.90 but its not used much on street cars.

watch most of the video i guess. I actually have a first pull in mine ill try and upload it. it was a ****ty run because i was still getting used to the clutch nd the way the tremec 3550 shifts so there was a bit of lag between my shifts.

I think you need to stop trying to convince yourself you have gears installed and pull the cover and verify what you got, the time spent entertaining this thread and you could of already pulled the cover and verified it= 10 min job and it'll be accurate
