3:55, I'm hitting the rev limiter in 3rd about 50-100ft before trap. Started shortshifting to 4th, that's when I get my best times. Now I should say I've made 16 passes with the manual so still trying different shift points, launch rpm, etc. I took a in-car video of my best pass and trying to get it up here.
Do slicks really suck up mph, I was running about 20lbs in them.
Slicks aren't eating up MPH. You went from a 2.3 sixty spinning fairly hard to a 1.66 sixty with no spin at all! Your just Covering more ground faster on the 60ft and that'll show in a slightly lower MPH on the big end. I'd also cut the air pressure in the slicks down to 15psi to start and then lower the pressure 1 pound after each run to see what nets you the best 60.

LOL, if you guys saw the rot under this car, you wouldn't be trying to launch it any harder. I'm surprised it didn't twist into a pretzel yet. I put a couple pic's in my album. I've had this car for 5 yrs now and it hasn't gotten any worse, but it only gets wet when I wash it. Just trying to make it last as long as I can.
whats the rev limiter set at? just curious cause u said 5900 is short shifting?
I had the limiter set at 6200, but shift light set at 6000, then 5900, then 5800 just trying different things. I have 400 rpm difference between stock tach and my Autometer. I was trusting my Autometer more than the stock tach, but when I started shifting at lower rpm's (stock tach) times seemed to get better. Alittle more track time and I'll get it figured out.
I was shortshifting into 4th at around 5500-5600. Worked great after I figured that out.
